Celebrity Interview: Angela Douglas

Angela is best known for her roles in several Carry On Films in the 1960s, including Carry On Cowboy (1965) as an all-singing and trigger-happy version of Annie Oakley. She then appeared in Carry On Screaming! (1966), Follow That Camel (1967) and Carry On… Up the Khyber.

She has appeared in several television programmes including: The Avengers, The Saint, Z-Cars, Dixon of Dock Green, Coronation Street, Doctor Who and Peak Paractice.

Her autobiography Swings and Roundabouts is a moving, frank and deeply felt autobiography of her life, from her convent-based education to the joy of finding her feet as an actress. Her love for Kenneth More, their life together and the all consuming grief at his death. Then continuing with the adventure of her life and work ever since.
