5 Sparkling Cocktails for Autumn

Here’s a few Champagne and sparkling wine cocktails to to enjoy during the autumn months.

Ginger Sparkling Cocktail
Lovely blend of bubbly and ginger. Varients of this recipe often add a small amount vodka for an extra kick.

2 teaspoons of finely grated fresh ginger­
1/2 cup of sugar
Bottle of dry sparkling wine

Boil the ginger, sugar and half a cup of water in a saucepan for a couple minutes until it looks like syrup. Pour the mixture into a bowl through a sieve to remove solid parts. Add 1 tablespoon of the syrup to each glass and top of with sparkling wine. Stir and serve!

Apple Cider Mimosa

Sparkling wine

Fill your glass between 1/2 and 3/4 full of apple cider then top up with sparkling wine. Add a slice of apple for garnish.

Maple Syrup Sparkling Cocktail
Maple Syrup
Dry sparkling wine

Add 2 teaspoons of maple syrup to the bottom of each glass then top up with dry sparkling wine.

Elderflower Cocktail
30ml vodka
15ml elderflower cordial
Sparkling wine

Mix the codka and elderflower cordial wih ice in a cocktail shaker, then strain into a glass. Top up with Champagne. Add lemon twist for garnish.

Orange Mimosa
2 parts orange juice
3 parts sparkling winee

Pour chilled orange juice in a glass. Top up with sparkling wine and garnish with orange peel.

Also try adding sugar and cinnamon around the rim of the glasses for extra flair.
