bubbledogs launches limited edition World Cup hot dog menu

bubbledogs, the gourmet hot dog and grower Champagne restaurant in Fitzrovia, is introducing a limited edition hot dog menu in celebration of the World Cup. Available from now until the end of the world famous football tournament; a total of 10 new hot dogs will be introduced, each with toppings representing a different country competing in the World Cup.

The World Cup limited edition hot dogs menu will be served alongside a concise list of small-batch grower Champagnes, personally selected by bubbledogs’ Sommelier and General Manager Sandia Chang, available by the glass or bottle.

The limited edition World Cup menu includes:

 England – the ‘Breakie Dog’
Crispy bacon, tomato relish, black pudding bits and a whole fried egg

 France – the ‘Jean-Pierre’
New potato slices, beer-pickled onions, melted raclette cheese and mini-cornichons

 Spain – the ‘Calçotada’
Spicy romesco sauce, chargrilled onions and spiced almonds

 Germany – the ‘Currywurst’
A modern take on the traditional German Currywurst dish that includes bubbledogs’ homemade curry ketchup

 Greece – the ‘Stavros’
Smoked aubergine puree, feta cheese, pickled red onions and chopped parsley salad

 USA – the ‘Fourth of July’
Smoky BBQ sauce, crispy bacon and homemade coleslaw

 Mexico – the ‘José’
Pickled jalapenos, salsa, avocado and sour cream

 Argentina – the ‘Diego’
Chimichurri mayonnaise and fried spiced cassava chips

 Japan – the ‘Junya’
Teriyaki stir-fried noodles, nori and toasted sesame seeds – paying homage to Junya Yamasaki, of Koya

Two further hot dog specials will be announced at bubbledogs soon, to complete its 10-strong list.

Sandia commented on the menu, “James and I are huge fans of the World Cup and had lots of fun creating the flavour combinations for the limited edition menu. There were so many great food options to represent each country, it was difficult to make a final decision, but a few glasses of Champagne helped the process. We hope guests to bubbledogs, both old and new, throughout the World Cup enjoy the special menu and may the best team… or hot dog, win!”
