Christmas is getting closer and you might want to start looking for that unique gift for that special someone

If your thinking about giving a bottle of Champagne to a friend or relative this year then perhaps Glass of Bubbly can help you.

Nicolas Feuillatte has a great selection of Champagnes with special ways of gifting them.

Nicolas Feuillatte is supplied grapes by more than 4,500 growers across the entire Champagne region giving him access to a creative palette of exceptional quality.

The smell and taste of Champagne is important but when buying a bottle that you haven’t had before, then the way it looks could make all the difference.

What Sells A Bottle?

A big name like Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot and Taittinger, just to name a few, could help someone decide to buy a bottle as they are known by most.

The bottle’s design can help, whether it’s the labels design, other stickers on the bottle or the artwork.

If a bottle comes in a bag, box or tin it can make it look more expensive as your getting something else with it even if it is just cardboard. Extra packaging could make all the difference.

The shape of Champagne bottles can make a difference, like a mini bottle or a magnum.

So let’s go through the three bottles we have here by Nicolas Feuillatte.

This pink label bottle is a Réserve Exclusive Rosé its a blend of 10% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir and 45% Meunier and comes in the pink bag.

Tasting Notes: “Red berries and a subtle hint of pastries on the nose. Smooth summer berries and a hint of white pepper in the mouth. A nice enjoyable Champagne to drink. I would put this Champagne in Light and Fruity category in the Glass of Bubbly Awards.”

This bottle with the bag will cost you £35 at John Lewis.

The pink bag could make it more appealing to buy for a special lady in your life, whether it’s your Mum, girlfriend, wife or good friend.

Did you notice the little sticker of the star on the bottle, something as simple as this could sway you into buying it as it makes it a little more enjoyable to look at.

The next two bottles are the same, they just have different packaging, so it would be interesting to get your thoughts on which one appeals most to you.

Next up we have Réserve Exclusive Brut a blend of 20% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 40% Meunier, this one doesn’t come with a bag but it comes with some great artwork on the bottle.

Tasting Notes: “Citrus buttery aromas, brioche, and yellow fruit taste”

I love the artwork on this bottle, the pictures of the foxes, rabbits, birds and grapes make it very appealing to just look at.

This bottle will cost you £26 at Waitrose.

Last up we have the Réserve Exclusive Brut again with the same blend.

This version of the Brut comes in a tin, with some brilliant artwork of wildlife being seen through a keyhole, with the small animals and leaves bursting through, combined with the font of Nicolas Feuillatte written on the front, back and sides, it creates a great Christmas gift.

It has the same keyhole design on both sides.

The bottle and the tin will cost you less than you might think at only £30 at John Lewis, making it £4 more expensive than the artwork bottle and £5 cheaper than the Rosé with the bag.

Out of the three, I think the tin will make a nicer gift for someone this Christmas. The other Brut with the artwork is still very nice and would make a lovely gift. The Rosé works well in the bag but is marketed more towards women.

The Brut and Rosé are both very nice but the Rosé was my favourite out of the two Champagnes, with the Brut a close second, you can click on the tasting notes to see the full reviews.
