Make your own Prosecco Ice Lollies
8th August 2016
Now what more would you want than a chilled glass of Prosecco whilst enjoying some summer sun? What about some Prosecco ice lollies! You’ll be pleased to know that you now can because they are that simple to make you’ll have them ready to eat tomorrow by following this simple home made recipe:
What do you need?
- A bottle of Prosecco (if you can, open it up and hour or so before you start on your recipe so that a few of the bubbles start to disappear.
- Fresh strawberries and raspberries.
- Optional: Squeeze of lemon juice, spoon or two of caster sugar and some lemonade / fizzy fruit drink of choice.
Now, the recipe:
- Open up a bottle of Prosecco and leave to stand for an hour.
- Get some strawberries and raspberries and prepare them ready to mix in with the Prosecco by chopping them into small pieces.
- Optional (pour the Prosecco into a jug and mix with the caster sugar, lemonade / fizzy fruit drink and a squeeze of lemon).
- Pour the Prosecco into the ice lolly moulds and fill to around 4/5’s.
- Place into each mould a few pieces of the chopped strawberries and raspberries so each is full. Place into each the handles and then place it all into the freezer. For best results give them 24 hours to freeze.
These ice lollies are a great start to any garden party. Personally, I prefer the Prosecco only recipe as they give a zingy and refreshing blast, though do try with the optional extras to suit your own tastes.
