Villa Sandi Acquire 50 Hectares in Friuli Region

Villa Sandi recorded an extremely positive performance in 2016 with 20% increase in revenue on the previous year. The positive trend was… marked by the success of Prosecco in all markets, but was also supported by a strategy focused on important investments, innovation and a strong commitment to sustainable viticulture and environment safeguard.

Villa Sandi has recently acquired about 50 hectares in Friuli region, DOC Prosecco area. Most of the Estate is planted with Glera and Pinot Grigio, but also with some of the typical varietals of the specific area Grave del Friuli, Ribolla Gialla and Refosco.

The total of owned vineyards counts now up to 160 hectares encompassing all Prosecco appellations, from the wider and flat Prosecco DOC area in Veneto and Friuli to the DOCG Asolo hills and the traditional and historical hills in the Valdobbiadene DOCG area up to the special cru of Cartizze.
