Corks Out was founded in 2003 by Ruth Yates, her many years wine buying and true love for wine led expansion to 5 stores and an informative website. Each member of the Corks Out team plays a vital role in making the business work and they are truly dedicated to customer satisfaction with wine and spirit knowledge that goes far beyond passion.

One of Corks Out’s many areas of expertise is menu matching. This was featured on Channel 4’s ‘’Come Dine with Me’’ where Ruth was asked to select wines for a special dinner party. The whole team offers advice on a variety of wines to suit many a dish and the eclectic range of over 2000 wines and spirits means there is something for everyone, whether it’s Friday night on the sofa or a special wedding day menu.

Taste at Corks Out our ‘Wine Juke Box’

Now with their very own tasting machines (some would say ‘The Wine Juke Box’) tasting wine is made fun and helps you to try something you wouldn’t normally pick up off the shelf.  With relaxed seating you can now enjoy a glass of wine in store, but this isn’t your average wine bar, where else can you sip on a glass of fine Bordeaux at retail price. Over the years Corks Out has received 28 awards and accolades for their customer service, team knowledge and point of difference in wine. Regular wine tastings, events and gourmet dinners are informal, yet informative and it has always been Ruth’s aim to demystify wine and help customers to simply find out a little more about what’s in their glass.

The Corks Out Wine Bar

Corks Out Alderley Edge is now not just your average wine shop. It has now been converted into your very own wine bar and shop all in one. Sit and relax in our comfy seats and pick a cocktail from our new drinks menu ( we even serve Champagne by the glass) You can also choose to use our ever popular taste machines and enjoy a glass of wine in our heated outdoor seating area.

The Secret Wine Garden

Corks Out Stockton Heath’s Wine Garden is not so secret anymore after 3 years. Around the back of the shop you will find a wonderland with outdoor and covered seating. A perfect suntrap and the only place in the village you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine off the roadside in a peaceful environment.  You can enjoy a range of Champagnes, Cocktails, 32 Wines by the glass and over 40 Beers & Ales.
