How Sparkling Wine Can Effect A Cocktail
23rd April 2020
1 Cocktail, 2 Sparkling Wines
I’ve made a lot of Cocktails here on Glass of Bubbly, but I’ve never tried the same Cocktail with two different Sparkling Wines.
Today I’ve created 1 cocktail twice, and in each contain a different Sparkling Wine, one from Italy and one from Slovenia.
To make this Cocktail, all you will need is:
- Sparkling Wine
- Gin
- Cucumber
- Simple Syrup
How To Make Simple Syrup
- Boil some water in your kettle, add 1 and a half spoonfuls of sugar into a cup and wait for the now simple syrup to cool down.
This isn’t an overly complicated Cocktail or very powerful one, I wanted there to be flavour, but not so much to overpower the Sparkling Wines.
Let’s Meet Our Sparkling Wines
Vipava 1894
Vipava 1894 is a Slovenian winery dating all the way back to 1894, and to help produce their sparkling wines, they have some 350 grape growers.
In the area of Vipava, where they are located, they have been cultivating grapevines dating all the way back to ancient Rome.
