Balfour Brut Rosé
17th May 2014
“England’s most exclusive Pink Fizz”, Balfour Brut Rose is grown on Hush Heath Estate from three classic Champagne grape varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
Hush Heath is the only English vineyard dedicated to the creation of Rosé sparkling wine.
The Balfour 2010 is the palest of pale pinks with a fine and prolonged mousse.
The nose is clean and fresh with subtle redcurrant and white pepper spiciness.
This wine has a youthful aperitif style with crisp, mouth-watering acidity, elegant and precise with lemon citrus notes on the palate continuing to a long complex finish.
The wine is disgorged on demand to maintain freshness. Typically it would have had 3 months on the cork before leaving the winery.
Pinot Noir -46% Chardonnay –45% Pinot Meunier -9%
Served on British Airways first class and the Orient Express.
