Stunning Ice White Champagne & Sparkling Wine Bottles

We often see sparkling wines in dark green bottles, usually with dark or neutral – sometimes colourful labels. It looks quite striking to see an icy white bottle so it’s no surprise the trend is becoming quite popular amongst Champagne and sparkling wine producers.

White Champagne and sparkling wine bottles often signify that they are made to be served over ice. Champagne Lanson recommends ‘enhancers’ with its Champagne, like a sprig of fresh mint or a slice of fresh orange or the zest of a lemon. These refreshing sparklers fit well with the wintery weather (maybe it can make up for the lack of snow) and will certainly stand out in the wine rack.

Anna de Codorníu Blanc de Blancs Cava – £8.20 at Gourmet Hunters: A gourmet Cava and a good match with a wide range of dishes, from grilled meat, vegetables to seafood.

Freixenet Ice Cuvée Especial – £9 at Tesco: Made to be enjoyed over ice with a sprig of mint. Goes great in a cocktail too.

JP Chenet Ice Edition – £9.48 at Asda: Another bubbly to be enjoyed over ice. Best enjoyed in a large glass to heighten its freshness and aromatic intensity.

Bottega White Gold Pinot Noir Brut – £20.99 at Drinks Direct: – While more like silver than white, this stunning ‘white gold’ bottle contains premium Italian bubbly.

Lanson White Label Champagne –  £49.99 at Very – This bottle comes with a Lanson pen so you can add a personal touch for a gift.

Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial – £54.99 at Selfridges: Probably the most recognised of the white-label bottles, this lively infusion is designed to be served with ice. Often drink during the summer, but equally good during the winter.
