Have you tried Asti & Moscato d’Asti?

Have you tried Asti & Moscato d'Asti?

Asti (or Asti Spumante) is generally a light, sweet sparkling wine made in the Italian region of Piemonte and made using the charmat method (the same method as Prosecco, but not Champagne).

Asti was once considered a lower class sparkling wine, but thanks to its DOCG status, stricter laws have been introduced allowing quality wines to come to the forefront. Asti must be produced using only Moscato Bianco grapes grown in the designation zone.

Moscato d’Asti is made using the ripest Moscato Bianco grapes, but is only slightly fizzy (frizzante) compared to Asti (spumante).

So why not give one a try? Prosecco isn’t the only Italian fizz on the market! Asti offers a fresh, fruity taste at an affordable price. If you don’t mind paying slightly extra something finer and lighter, go for a Moscato d’Asti.
