Spar Launches Premium Prosecco

Spar is launching a new Spar-branded Prosecco. The premium Spar Prosecco Speciale will be priced at £9, offering a more luxurious variant than its already “hugely successful” Perlezza Prosecco.

The new wine is packaged in a stylish, flute-shaped bottle to show consumers its more luxury appeal. The Prosecco Speciale will be available from 24 October and is expected to bring SPAR an extra £350,000 in retail sales.

Cath McIlwham, SPAR UK Head of Brand, said: “As shoppers more frequently trade up to premium products during the festive season – either for themselves or as gifts – the launch of our Prosecco Speciale will come at just the right time. Sales of Prosecco outpace Champagne in the UK and Prosecco represents 64% of all sparkling wine sales, so we are confident our new launch will tap the trend this festive season.”
